There are sinkholes developing in the streets of Middleton. What's more, there's a project that's been stolen. Professor Acari (from "Tick-Tick-Tick") suspects that a former associate - Chester Yapsby - is responsible. This project, the Roflax, has the capability to enlarge the exoskeletons of insects, resulting in really big bugs. Kim and Ron discover one of them - a dog-sized roach that Ron takes a shine to.
I'm not sure about everyone else, but I think it would be a great deal more plausible for a character unfamiliar with our Earthly ways to adopt an oversized insect as a pet. In other words, talking about "Roachie" without mentioning the "Teen Titans" episode, "Can I Keep Him?" is completely, totally and, in all other ways, inconceivable.
Other issues I had here: the, ahem, "villain" of the piece. Just when I thought that they couldn't get any weaker than Fen... And Ron running around like a little girl screaming? Oh, for the love of...
At least they weren't facing killer snowmen.
