The theft of the robot prototype created by Dr. Possible's colleague, Fen, spurs Kim into action. In other matters, Ron falls for Zita, a pretty girl working at the movie theater. Can he find a way into her heart?
I liked this episode quite a bit. Kim and Ron (with the help of her cousin Larry) need to go undercover at the Robot Rumble. The mechanical battle is frequented by Vivian, Fen's former assistant and the prime suspect. This leads to a conflict between a robot behemoth (courtesy of Oliver, Vivian's boyfriend) and the Kimmunicator (it's a lot better than it sounds). There's also a really great underground railway chase where the teens are unable to escape one of the more vicious robots.
Even better were the scenes of Ron trying (I stress 'trying') to talk to Zita and impress her. Unfortunately, he feels that 'The Rules' will prevent anything from happening. These parts were very amusing; Ron buying tickets for every movie as an excuse to chat with her and the great (if overly shippy) bit with Kim waiting for him outside the theater.
As usual, the mystery angle was interesting, even if the culprit turned out to be...not that much of a threat, even by the standards of this show.
"Grudge Match" is a fine episode.
