Dr. Drakken makes off with the automated factory of Japanese businessman Mr. Nakasumi. As if this wasn't enough of a problem for Kim, her attempts to ask Josh Mankey to the Spirit Dance end in disaster. The final act with Drakken transforming the factory into a fighting robot was entertaining, but what I'll always remember about this episode (for better or worse) are the Middleton scenes.
This was the first "Kim Possible" episode to air nearly three years ago, and it is in Ron that I found a kindred spirit. This is somewhat unfortunate when you consider what happens to him here: rejected by his female classmates (hell, by anything in a skirt) and failing to linger in anyone's memory. Needless to say, a few nerves were plucked.
Moreover, this probably isn't the episode to best illustrate Kim and Ron's friendship. Other episodes show them to be true blue, but there were times here where it seemed like she was moments away from landing him one on the jaw. And need I mention the supposed 'gag' ending where Ron is trapped in the janitor's closet during the dance? I just found these bits to be quite untenable...and the fact that this episode was written by the show's creators adds an extra level of quease for which, even today, I don't think anybody could be fully prepared.
To sum up, "Crush" is very much like its namesake; your emotions are dragged all over the place and, in the end, it kinda hurts.
