Kim's got a lot going on currently. She agreed to be interviewed for the school paper. Unfortunately, the nimrod reporter (to further his own career) misinterprets a stray remark. This leads to the birth of a vicious rumor: Kim has a crush on Brick Flagg, the dumb jock to end all dumb jocks.
A giant balloon belonging to snack food magnate Pop Pop Porter has been stolen. It turns out that it was vital to the latest exhibition from extreme stunts enthusiast Adrena-Lynn. The stunt appears to go awry and Kim rushes to the rescue. But she rescues a dummy, while the real Adrena-Lynn is safe. The same bozo who crippled Kim' social life captures the ruse on film. This, plus a number of injuries from copycat viewers, leads to the cancellation of Adrena-Lynn's show, causing her to seek vengeance on Kim by capturing her "boyfriend".
One would think that Ron would stand by his best friend, but, alas, he's the bozo reporter seeking to further his journalism career. Our Hero is put through the wringer so much (and so needlessly), this episode would have to be renamed There's Something About Kimmie...and I didn't much care for that particular film.
Add to this the..."villainess" of the piece. Sure she can jam satellite frequencies, but she's not that much of a threat. In fact, her catchphrase (I won't quote it, I promise) downgrades her to 'annoyance'.
You say you want a silver lining? Um...well...Rachel Dratch was pretty good as the would-be bad girl.
Just wrap it in fish and be done with it.
