| The original series' finale for "Disney's Kim Possible" is a Disney Channel Original Movie later split into three episodes. So the Drama: Part One, Two and Three. |
|
Villains: Dr. Drakken & Shego and "Big Daddy" Brotherson
Animation Production by: Rough Draft Studios, Inc.
This was originally the series finale.
Christy Carlson Romano's song "Could It Be" is part of the movie's sound track.
The movie was released on DVD and video on May 10, 2005.
This will be the fourth time Christy Carlson Romano stars in a Disney Channel Original Movie.
It was revealed by Bob Schooley in an online chat which took place on the night that this movie premered on Disney Channel in the US that Kim and Ron were planned as a couple all along.
This movie first aired on Kirsten Storms' (voice of Bonnie) 21st birthday.
So The Drama was originally going to be the live action Kim Possible movie, but was deemed to expensive to make. It then was going to be released in theaters as a cartoon movie until Teacher's Pet flopped in theaters.
A deleted scene on the DVD has Ron asking Kim why she doesn't just beat up Bonnie to get her to leave her alone, like she does Shego. Kim responds by saying beating her up wouldn't be right because where Shego is hardcore evil, Bonnie is just high school evil.
The DVD version of the films ends with a close up of 'The End' sign of the school and then pans up to the stars where it fades to black and regular credits come on leaving out the still images shown during the television showing. The film fades out right before the second verse of 'Could It Be' begins to play.
In a deleted scene in the movie, it's revealed that Ron's scooter in the movie is new.
I found 7 differences between broadcast version and DVD/VHS. The DVD/VHS has these extra and/or different scenes:
1) Kim mentions she helped boat owner Mr. Bailey through an "okay storm" (it wasn't a perfect storm).
2) Drakken receives his bow tie.
3) Kim & Ron run into robo-Portuguese Man-o-War and clam lasers underwater.
4) Ron makes a comment on the beach of the club.
Broadcast: "Think there'll be a long line?"
DVD/VHS: "Think they're trying to keep us out?"
5) Kim has an extended fight with Shego. Involves a chandelier.
6) Kim in 2nd extended fight with Shego. Involves 2 serving carts, with Ron ramming the 2nd one into Shego.
7) Extended song at end - Could It Be.

Monique: Is that Brick out there hitting on the girl at Earring World?
Bonnie: He's hypnotized by her big hoops.
Shego: (of Drakken's plan) What is he up to? A toy design, top secret cybertronic technology, syntho-drone personality and performance upgrades, and teen scene junk. What is gonna do, throw the world's weirdest pajama party?
Shego: Spill!
Dr. Drakken: No!
Shego (gloves flame up): Why not?
Shego (shocked): You just might win!
Kim: Do you think I can pull this off?
(Is wearing hideous dress)
Monique: Pull it off and throw it away! Ugh!
Ron: Eric, my comprade, you don't know how lucky you are that you ran into Ron Stoppable. I know everything about everything around here.
Eric: Great, so where do I pick up my class assignments?
Ron:(falls off stair rail) Yeah, I'm not a nuts and bolts guy, I'm more big picture.

| The commercials advertise that this is the first animated Disney Channel Original Movie, but A Sitch in Time was.
RE: A Sitch in Time is more considered a small-time TV movie made of three episodes, whereas So the Drama is more of a movie-movie.
In the beginning, the sumo-ninja had a deep voice. Later on, he had a high pitched voice.
The sumo having a high voice isn't a goof. Don't you get it? He fell into the float. It's helium!
RE Sumo Ninja voice: His voice is higher because of the wedgie Ron gave him in the beginning.
Reply to High-Pitched Sumo Ninja: Not a goof, in the opening sequence, Ron gave him a Super-Wedgie, this wedgie aparently did some serious damage to his...equipment, resulting in a high-pitched voice.(it's a rather common gag in many films. IE: See Spot Run)
I don't understand something. In one part of the movie, Rufus was chewing on Eric's shoe. So since Eric was a syntho-drone, wouldn't he have melted right in front of Ron?
^-- The thing is, Rufus never got through the shoe. He was gnawing into the rubber toe guard, but was interrupted by Eric's positive comment about naked mole-rats and stopped. Rufus' teeth are sharp, but he's always had to bite for an extended period of time in order to get through anything (as has been previously demonstrated in many episodes, such as the net in "Low Budget," and the ropes in this film).
Monique's earing dissapears behind her ear while she is talking to Kim at the prom.
As Eric is talking to Kim in the clothes store, his mouth doesn't match anything he's saying at all.
Earlier in the episode, Eric and Mr. Dr. Possible have a conversation about Kim's curfew, which is sometimes extended to 11:00 for special occasions. Later, Drakken says something along the lines of "Striking at midnight ", which would be after 11:00 P.M. So how is it that after the whole fight scene, Kim and Ron are able to go to the prom?
Furthurmore, how long does the prom last, anyway? It had to be at least 1:00 A.M.
Almost certainly addressed with bonus scenes in the DVD, but back at school, Ron thinks that Kim won't go to Bueno Nacho with him because "...(he) messed up and help Shego and Drakken escape." In the version shown on Disney, he did nothing to assist with their escape or hinder KP in stopping it.
RE. to Curfew: When Kim got there early, don't you think Drakken would've excelerated his plans? He did so with Middleton when Kim found out, but he most likly figured the Diablo's would've kept her busy till midnight . But When She took out the Middleton tower, he probably told Shego to get ready to launch at a seconds notice.
RE- Kim's curfew: She may have an 11:00 'special occasion' curfew, but I think her parents make an extra exception for world-saving missions. If you notice in the beginning of the movie, after she got back from Japan , her parents were about to grill her for being out all night, but when they found out she was on a mission they backed off.
During the scene in the dressing room, when Monique first sees Bonnie talking to Eric, there is a brief moment when her eyes are green instead of brown.
R.E. Sumo Ninja: Rufus also bit him in his sinuses and it might have messed up his throat |

DYN? Ron's Mirror
Ron has a bumper sticker on his mirror that reads: "No on 65", almost like for a vote. This is, in fact, a little joke to the fans by the people behind the show. "65" refers to the 65 episode point, the sole reason Kim Possible was originally being canceled.
Movie Name
The Movie is also known as "Day of the Diablos".
Kim & Ron: Together At Last!
In this movie, especially at the end, Kim and Ron come to the full-realization of their love for each other and become a couple, bringing the biggest debate that has been going on throughout the KP fanbase to an end.
Extended Version Shoutout?
In the extended scene on the DVD, the person who takes Kim and Ron to the Bermuda Triangle is named Mr. Bailey. This may be a shoutout to Season 1 Executive Producer and Director Chris Bailey.

title: So the Drama
For the three of you that don't know: One of Kim's catch-phrases is "So not the drama".
None: The Sumo Ninja with the High-Pitched Voice
This guy is meant as a satire of another high-pitched, sumo-sized character who appeared on Dragonball Z.
(no one): (no one)
As the opening theme plays, several single-colored silloets from past episodes roll by in a black background in a mannor quite simular to mostly the early James Bond movies. (each starting in a music number with abstract scenes playing)
none: Kim and Ron Kissing
Their kiss seems to have that look which is similar to the kisses in old Disney movies (Like Aladdin, Cinderella, etc.)
N/a: N/a
The big room Shego was in trying to figure out Dr. Drakken's plan, was very similar to the room where Pro.X uses Cerebro. The path is even the same.
none: Picture of Original Bueno Nacho
The picture of the first Bueno Nacho that Ron admires is a replica/parody of a picture of the very first McDonald's. More Info
None: McDonald's continuation
And what do you think Ned's comments on talking clown and playgroud are all about? It's so obvious, he even used cheese and diablo sauce as the makeup.
Monique: You're gonna be Kimderella!
An obvious reference to Disney's Cinderella. Kim's prom dress resembles Cinderella's as well. |
