| Kim's more worried about asking her crush (voiced by Breckin Meyer) to the school dance than she is about foiling Dr. Drakken and his newest scheme for world domination. |
|
| Villains: Dr. Drakken & Shego
Animation Production by: Rough Draft Korea Co., Ltd
One of five first season episodes altered post-release to include songs from the then-upcoming "KP" soundtrack. In this case: Angela Michael's "I'm Ready".
This is the first time we see Wade's mother.
Wade's dad is mentioned but not seen.
Shego's screaming near the beginning and what Drakken says while being caught by the Robot's claw is used in the "Super Villain Smashout" game on Kimpossible.com.
This ep was originally an 11-miniute pilot for the series.
The video game factory in Japan was originally going to be a car factory in Chicago. |

| Computer: Konichiwa (Japanese for "Welcome").
Drakken: So, Kim Possible, you think to thwart my plan!
Shego: (groans) Don't stop to tell her the plan!
Drakken: (sputters) I'll handle this, Shego.
Shego: Yee-ah. All I know is, every time you stop to blab about your "big plan" -- she wins!
Drakken: Oh... Right.
Dr. Drakken: Cartoons make my eyes itch!
Ron: Ask Mankey? I don't know Kim. Don't you think he might feel... awkward... with us?
Kim: "Us"?
Ron: Well, we always go together.
Kim: Yeaahh... But that's as, y'know, friends. And, this time, I was thinking about lining up a... Y'know...
Ron: An enemy?
Kim: A *date*.
Ron: A date! Right! Date, like, uh-- dating. Dating in a date-like-kinda-way. I can do that. The date thing.
Ron: Sooo, Britina. As a pop superstar, I'll bet you miss out on stuff like school dances with, y'know, normal, average guys...
Britina: True.
Ron: Friday. Dance. You. Me. Average Guy.
Britina: No.
(Buzzer sounds)
Ron: See? Was that so hard?
Kim: Only to watch...
Yoshiko: I am Yoshiko, translator for Nakasumi-san.
(Ron slicks his hair back)
Ron: Y'know, I'm looking for a lucky someone to go to a dance with me...
(Yoshiko whispers to Nakasumi)
(Gong sounds)
(Nakasumi mutters back)
Yoshiko: Uhhh... Nakasumi-san says he's very flattered, but given the current crisis, he feels it would be... inappropriate... to go to the dance.
Ron: No! Ew, no! I meant--
Ron: (*Gasp!*) Drakken's gonna steal Christmas!
Ron: Quick! Where's our helicopter?
Kim: We don't have one.
Ron: Ooh... Too bad.
Ron: I told you to bring a jacket, Rufus; naked and snow just don't mix.
Kim: Okay, let's recap what we know.
Ron: Check. Subject: "Joshua Wendell Mankey".
Kim: I meant about Drakken's Alpine lair.
Ron: Oh... Yeah, I got nothing.
Kim: Wait-- His middle name is "Wendell"?
Ron: Well, it could be.
Kim: You've obviously done your research.
Ron: I assure you, the rest of my report is completely factual.
Kim: Gossip you've heard around school?
Ron: Moving on...
Ron: So... Heinrich. Got any teenage daughters who might want to go to a big American dance party?
Heinrich: Nein!
Ron: Nine?! One's plenty! Well, maybe two...
Heinrich: "Nein" means "no"!
(Heinrich slams door, drives off)
Ron: Hey, wait a minute! I helped with that avalanche!
Kim: You started it.
Drakken: Ah. My teenaged foe. And the buffoon.
Ron: Well, this "buffoon" knows your secret plan: You're going to steal Christmas!
Drakken: Not even close.
Kim: So this *is* a "take-over-the-world" thing... Ron.
("The Ultimate Robo-Warrior" rips a tank in half)
Ron: That would be so cool if it wasn't gonna hurt us.
Drakken: Why did she have to be a *cheerleader*?! If she was on the debate team, I would have vaporized her by now!
Drakken (defeated): You think you're "all that"! But you're not!
Ron: Kim, Drakken's in jail. Christmas was saved! What's the big?
Kim: Okay, first of all -- he was not... trying... to steal... Christmas!
Ron: Hell-ooo? Somebody let me out! Come onnn... I'm a bon-diggity dansah!
Shego: Dr. Drakken?
Dr. Drakken: Gah!
Shego: AAH!
Dr. Drakken: Shego, never sneak up on me like that!
Shego: I wasn't sneaking!
Dr. Drakken: Ninjas make more noise than you, Shego. Quit it!
Ron (through bookcase): Hi, I'm Ron Stop--owww! (as book is shoved back)
Dr. Drakken: Put some greasy elbow into it!
Ron: For me to get a date, who am I *not* going to ask?
Ron: Tok-y-o! I love the French!
Kim: So, what's the sitch?
Yoshiko: They have taken over our entire factory; the workers are trapped inside.
Kim: How many?
Yoshiko: Two.
Ron: Hundred?
Yoshiko: No, just two. This is the most automated factory in the world.
Ron: Steal Christmas.
Kim: Take over the world.
Ron: Steal Christmas.
Kim: Take over the world.
Ron: Steal Christmas.
Ron: Never be normal! That's the Ron Stoppable motto.
Ron: And now I'm upside-down.
(Ron is sitting with a bunch of girls)
Ron: (Points to his right arm) This arm is going to the dance on Friday, who wants to be on it?
(Girls are gone "like that")
Ron: (Points to his left arm) How'bout this arm?
Kim: What's Drakken doing in a video game factory?
Ron: Do you know what this factory makes?
Kim: Video games?
Ron: The Z-boy. Currently the fastest graphic system ever.
Kim: So, video games.
Ron: It's not even coming out back home until Christmas. It's the must have gift of the holiday season. *gasp* Drakken's going to steal Christmas!
Kim: I know my arch-foe; Drakken wants to take over the world.
Ron: He wants to steal Christmas!
Kim: Take over the world!
Ron: Steal Christmas!
Kim[looking at her compact mirror]: I see the hostages. *gasp* OH NO.
Ron: What?
Kim: I thought I saw a zit. False alarm.
MHS Sign: Spirit Week! Dance Friday
MHS Sign: Need a date? Call Ron
Kim: Before this day is over, I'm going to ask Josh to the dance.
Ron: And I'm going to ask...somebody.
Kim: Your standards are *so* high.
Ron(talking into a megaphone): Attention, ladies! It is I, Ron Stoppable! Contrary to popular belief, I am not dating Kim Possible.[turns to Josh] Which is good news for you, Josh Mankey.
Josh: Hey.
Kim: Oh no.
Jim: Want to know what I think?
Kim: No.
(Right after Jim and Tim suggested for Kim to send an anonymous e-mail from Sweden to Josh)
Dr. Possible: Hmm... your Principal has been getting anonymous e-mails from Sweden...
Jim and Tim: Uh..got to go!

| When Ron screams (after the "Naked Mole Rat Show"), his freckles are missing.
The grappler in "Bueno Nacho" was red, but this one is purple.
Contrary to the series' established style, Mom's lower lip is filled in for a segment of the breakfast table discussion.
Animation Goof: Because it's been recycled from an earlier sequence, the overlay representing the view from Drakken's Ultimate Robo-Warrior incorrectly identifies Ron as Kim, and vice versa.
At the start of the episode, Kim asks if Ron has ever considered a normal pet, i.e. "something not naked". But pretty much ALL animals are nude.
^-- Nitpick of Nitpick: Clothing-less, sure, but not hairless, and few have "naked" in their name.
For a brief second on the plane, part of Ron's sunglasses are missing (the part that rests on the ear--the right one).
When Dr. Possible (Dad) says, "Josh?" his eyebrows are black.
Strange that Ron should care so much about Christmas, seeing as he's Jewish according to 'Ron the Man'.
^--While I'll admit to not having seen the episode, I can take a wild guess and say that he could have parents of different faiths. His father may be Jewish and his mother Catholic (or vice versa). In that is the case, then Ron would celebrate not only Jewish holidays (like Chanukah, Passover, Rosh Hashanah, etc.), but Catholic holidays as well (like Christmas, Easter, Good Friday, etc.). I hope that helps.
^-- Even though I'm Jewish, I still get excited about Christmas because I, like Ron probably, like the joy and kindness around that time. He might also be half Jewish and Christian.
For a moment, when Ron's holding Rufus in Heinrich's snow-mobile thing, his hands are flesh-coloured, when he should be wearing gloves.
Pronunciation: Whenever Dad mentions Doctor Drakken, he pronounces it "Drocken".
Drakken's picture is not on the back page of the newspaper at the beginning of the scene. But when (Mr.) Dr. Possible says "I wouldn't give up. With Drakken, I mean" his picture occupies a large portion of the back page
During Shego's "...every time you blab about your big plan..." rant, her mouth completely disappears for a frame or two when she says "she wins!"
During the battle with the Ultimate Robo-Warrior, Kim puts Rufus in one of the pockets of her cargo pants after she catches him in mid-air. The next time we see Rufus (when the Ultimate Robo-Warrior starts to fall), he is perched on Ron's shoulder, but Kim was never physically close enough to Ron (on or off-screen) for her to give Rufus back to Ron.
If it was a Sadie Hawkins Dance, why was Ron trying to ask girls out?
Yes, we all know that one of the most basic rules of cartoon characters is that they wear the same clothes in just about every episode, but why is Kim wearing her casual green shirt to a dance? And why is Bonnie wearing her cheerleading outfit?
When Kim's grappler rope is first shown, it's yellow...but as she fires it up the side of the Z-boy factory, it's black.
When Kim is hanging from the scaffolding fighting Shego, Shego raises a black boot to knock Kim off. In the next shot, as Kim grabs the boot, it's green.
Kim and Ron are both suddenly wearing helmets and goggles as soon as they open the door and exit Heinrich's snow vehicle.
As Josh bends down to pick up his posters, the inside of his ear is momentarily transparent.
When Ron is hanging upside down when the Ultimate Robot Warrior grabs him, Rufus falls out of his pocket. After Kim rescues Rufus, she puts him in her pocket. But when Kim rocket skates to Ron's rescue as the Robot is falling, Rufus is back with Ron.
When Ron manipulates Rufus' mouth during the Rufus Show, he's missing his gloves.
When Kim punches out the camera on the back of Drakken's robot, the hand still in the suction cup is glove-less.
When Ron is pinned by the forklift, his shirt is a light gray rather than black.
I read on naked mole rats (yes, they do exist) And they had pretty short tails. How could Rufus have a long tail? And how come his tail wags like a dog?
How can someone's EYES itch?
^-- You've obviously never worn contacts. (I'm sure by "itch" he meant general irritation)
^--It was *not* a Sadie Hawkins Dance. In the begining of the episode Ron identifies Spirit Week, and clarifies that it's the Spirit Week Dance while Himlick is giving them a ride. Also the banner Josh was hanging said: Spirit Week Dance.
--^The contact lenses theory works, but it could also be a figure of speech. What Drakken is really saying is that the Z-boy cartoons are starting to annoy him.
When Kim knocks out Shego with the stink formula in the lip gloss, Shego falls facing Kim, but when the camera zooms out, she's facing the opposite direction.
Tara liked Ron so why didn't she ask him to the dance?
Whenever Kim and Shego fight in the series, Shego is able to fight Kim without her long hair getting in the way. This is a physical impossibility.
When Drakken said that cartoons made his eyes "itch" he could have ment annoy him, but actually eyes can itch, mostly eye lids, or if your wearing contact lenses. also, eyes itching is a figure of speach meaning that something is annoying or gross.
^-Mole rat nitpick: In Tick-Tick-Tick, Mr. Barkin looks into a biology book, and, apparently, in the world of Kim Possible naked mole rats have long tails.
^-Shego's hair: Maybe her powers allow her to control her hair in some way.
No one is driving the forklift after Ron's naked molerat show. I never tried pushing a forklift, but I think it would be hard to do. And if they did, how did they know where to push it to get Ron through the boxes?
Kim acts as if this is the first time she saw Rufus, (questioning about Ron's pet) but how could she if she saw him on her first mission in ASiT?
Ron's mouth is missing when he says "This arm's going to the dance on Friday".
Ron's eyes are gone for a few frames when Kim reaches for the closet door.
Kim's upper lip is briefly not colored in when she says "Drakken was easy compared to this".
Kim's hands are glove-less when she swings to catch Rufus.
Shego's bottom lip is colored in when she says "Don't stop to tell her the plan!". |

Just A Note
Drakken is the only male to have "girl" fingers. Typically, males have square fingers and females have skinny, barbie-like fingers, and Drakken has the girl kind! (I might be wrong about Drakken being the only one, but if more men have this there are very few of them.)
Analysis of Analysis
Actually, Señor Senior Junior has girly fingers.
DYN #1
With a few exceptions, only the girls on the show have irises. The boys just have pupils.
Note to DYN #1
Kim, Mrs. Possible and Shego are the only girls with irises. All the other cheerleaders do not, nor do any of the other girls in school.
Eyes
Actually, you guys, it's pupils the characters *don't* have. The iris is the colored part. Bonnie and Ron both have brown circles for eyes, Tara has blue, the Tweebs have (I think) green, and so forth. They have the irises, just not pupils to go with them. (On that note, they should all be blind, because it's the pupil that absorbs light. Heh heh.);)

Action: Kim uses her grappler to topple the giant robot by tangling up the legs
During the battle on the Ice Planet Hoth, Luke uses his grappler to topple an Imperial Walker by tangling up the legs.
Ron: So, Britina...being a pop superstar...
Unless you've lived under a rock for the last four or five years, the character Britina is an obvious caricature of Britney Spears, a very famous pop star in real life.
Britina and Kim: "Kim, it's the least I could do after you saved my Chicago show." "Oh, that backstage fire was no big."
This is may be a reference to the great Chicago fire.
Ron: "Flying kick now!"
As Ron tries (and fails) to kick Drakken's "ultimate robo-warrior", he yells "Flying kick now!", a reference to the anime Dragon Ball and the like.
Kim: Kim: Wait-- His middle name is "Wendell"?
Josh's middle name being "Wendell" (at least according to Ron's "research") could be a tribute to the 19th century poet and satirist Oliver Wendell Holmes (writer of "Old Ironsides" and "The Wonderful One-Hoss Shay"). Also, the main character on Green Acres, the businessman-turned-farmer Oliver Wendell Douglas, is named after this guy. And if you really want to stretch it, one of the Keebler Elves is named Wendell. ;)
Ron: Drakken's gonna steal Christmas!
This is probably a reference to the popular children's Christmas special, "How the Grinch Stole Christmas," written by Dr. Seuss.
None: Shego's flaring hands
Shego's hand trick is very similar to the special talent of Liz Sherman in the comic book "Hellboy."
none: "Hellboy"
Ron: "So, Britina..."
Actually, wouldn't "Britina" be a combination of Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera?
none: Z-Boy
The Z-Boy game system is obviously a play off Nintendo's smash hit Gameboy. However the system looks like the old Sega: Genisis. The Z-Boy cartoon looks an awful lot like Pacman.
None: The Forklift Scene
While in the video game factory in Japan, Drakken pins Ron to a wall with a forklift. The same thing happened to the protagonist of a Japanese serial/TV-movie called Fugitive Alien (1986). More Info
