threaten to kidnap the country's leading scientists, including Kim's
dad. |
|
| Villains: Dr. Drakken & The Bebes
Animation Production by: Starburst Animation Studio
Drakken's real name is revealed to be Drew Lipsky.
We learn Kim's middle name in this episode. It's Ann.
This is the first episode where Drakken appears without Shego. |
|
Kim: Wade, Ron's missing. Can you find him?
Wade: Do you think I have him microchipped, or something?
Kim: Well, do you?
Wade: (reluctantly) Yeah, hang on...
Dad: Now, Kim, you know I don't approve of violence. But they *are* deadly robots... You go, girl!
Bebe: Question: If we are perfect..
Bebe: Why do we obey...
Bebe: One who is not perfect?
Bebes: Conclusion: Drakken is unfit to command!
Bebe: I'am Bebe!
Bebe: I'am Bebe!
Bebe: I'am Bebe!
Kim: Is there an echo in here?
Bebe: Hive-mind command
Bebe: C-con-connection
Bebe: La-la-lost
Ron (to Bonnie): YOU DON'T DESERVE TO BE KISSED BY A NAKED MOLE-RAT!
Ramesh: Where did your daughter learn to kick bottom like that?
Dad: Cheerleading.
Dr. Drakken: Oh, but I was blue, on the inside. Scorned by my so called friends, my-my posse.
Kim: There's plenty of teams and clubs out there. You could join... the Mathletes!
Ron: Yeah, right! I can't get in that kind of shape!
Kim: How about the debate team?
Ron: Look, I'm not going to argue with you, Kim.
Prof. Chen: It's college all over again. That man *cannot* build a robot.
Dr. Possible(Mom): I can't believe Drew Lipsky turned into a mad scientist.
Dr. Possible(Dad): Let alone our daughter's arch nemesis.
Dr. Drakken: So, Kim Possible is near.
Ron: Oh Yes! (Beat) Actually, no.
Kim: Are you happy now?!
Ron: Yes.
Rufus: Mmm-hmm.
(pause)
Ron: I mean no...
Kim: Dad, could you go a *little* faster?
Dr. Possible(Shocked): Kim! It's a school zone.
Ron: Check this out. (puts on Mad Dog mask) Mad dog foams at the mouth! (Foam flies everywhere)
Bonnie: Kim!
Kim: Ron!
Ron: The crowd will eat it up! Taste it, it's banana cream.
Kim: (sarcastically) Yum.
Rufus: BANANA!
Drakken: There's no way I could be expected to conclude that my arch nemesis is the daughter of a guy I went to college with!
Kim: [to Ron] You're not going to become some mask-wearing supervillain, are you?
Ron: We got a roomful of geniuses, here! Can't somebody come up with something?
Chen: Don't look at me, I'm an astronomer.
Ramesh: Ditto!
Ron: (After Rufus has licked banana foam off Bonnie) You don't deserve to be kissed by a naked mole rat!
Chen: Drew?
Ramesh: Drew Lipsky, is that you?
Ron(pulling off Mr.Dr.P mask): NO. It's Doctor Drakken, and he's in for a world of hurt.
Drakken: So, Kim Possible is near.
Ron: Oh yes! (pause) Actually, no.
Young Mr.P: Where's Drew? He was supposed to be here a half-hour ago.
Chen: I knew he wouldn't come through with dates for us.
Ramesh: What do you expect? He can't even come through with a date for himself.

| Continuity Error: Ron joins the Middleton High cheer squad as its mascot, though his occupancy of that position led to the events of "Sink or Swim".
Incorrectly Considered a Goof: The episodes are obviously not aired in order.
^-- Incorrectly Considered Incorrect?: Yes, but the "Goofs and Nitpicks" section seemed like the best place to point out discrepancies between air order and series continuity. Do you have a better idea? If so, please voice it under "Viewer Comments".
When Ron walks away from Bonnie and Kim, he takes his stuff except the "Kim mask". A bit later, he has the mask. Maybe he has two, or got it later?
In every other Drakken episode, Shego is his mad assistant. Why isn't she in this ep?
Answer to "Shego missing" question: Drakken didn't need Shego for this episode because he had the Bebe squad, and since they think they are perfect, they might have gotten rid of her out of jealousy.
Another answer to the "Shego missing" question. Drakken was seeking revenge on the guys who humiliated him in college, so it might have been a personal thing.
Shego might also have been an escape plan. If Dr. Drakken failed (which he did), he could secretly contact Shego to bust him out.
When Ron is wearing the dad Possible mask, his mouth moves incredibly convincingly, with no line where the mask ends and Ron begins. Unless, of course, the mask fits right into his mouth, but heck. It's a suggestion.
In the opener, Kim picks at the opened end of a burrito (or something similar) with a fork. Shortly thereafter, the burrito is shown as sealed, and Kim's fork has disappeared.
Ron's mask doesn't act like a mask until *after* he's been captured. During the scene with the car the mouth opens, the eyes widen, the eyebrows dip... but when he's trapped in that cylinder and says "No!" (followed by "He's Dr. Drakken, and he's in for a world of hurt!") the Dr. Possible head just has an oblivious half-grin.
Bonnie intercepts Rufus before he can finish licking the banana cream from her hair and arms, dangling the naked mole-rat at arms length. After a quick cutaway to Ron (just long enough for a "But--!"), Rufus is still dangling, and Bonnie doesn't seem to have moved much, but the banana cream has disappeared.
During the scene when Ron, Prof. Rhamesh and Prof. Chen are in Drakken's holding pen, the bottom of Ron's pants are colored brown, to match the bottoms of the other two.
In the Sky subs, "Drakken" is spelt "Drachen", "Ramesh" spelt "Romesh" and at one point "Chen" is spelt "Chan".
When the Bebes begin to walk slowly towards Dr. Possible, Drakken's belt is the same colour as the rest of his jacket.
Dr. Possible says that he can't go faster because it's a school zone. I'm not sure if this is the case everywhere, but where I live, the school zone speed limit only applies during school hours (and this scene takes place in the middle of the night).
In the scene where Drakken says he demands "better from his lackeys, especially the robotic ones": Between "robotic" and "ones", his head leans back and there are two pairs of eyes for two frames.
Prof. Chen, Prof. Ramesh, Dr. Possible, Kim and Ron are safely at the Possibles' house after the incident with the Bebes. They are eating pizza. In the beginning of the show, Mrs. Possible mentions they are having pizza for dinner. Did the whole thing happen in one night? Or did they just have pizza two nights in a row?
-----^Maybe Shego is out sick, like in 'Sick Day'.
6-10 minutes in, closed captions call a beeping Kimmunicator a 'cell phone'. |

This is important! Pay attention!
This is a very good lesson. It is: Don't be boastful or you will get in very deep danger. Because Drakken bragged that the Bebes were perfect and the Bebes realized that Drakken was NOT perfect, he nearly got killed by his own robots.
-- Dr. Veeken
DYN #1
Family Resemblence
Mr. Possible looks like the tweebs when he was in college very much. Except he was taller.
Full Name
Kim's full name is: "Kimberly Ann Possible"
Tara Try-out
When the cheerleaders are complaining to Kim about Ron, Tara isn't present; but at the end of the episode she is. Perhaps she tried-out after Ron left. Only explanation I can think of.
DYN? #2
When Drew Lipsky first reveals the Bebes, there are four; but, when Drakken sends them to capture his "friends", there are only three. Anyone got any ideas why?
Re: This is important
There is also another very important lesson in this episode: Never, ever, make fun of your friend's ideas, no matter how stupid they may seem, or how stupid they are, or their future could shape out pretty badly. Look at what happened to Drakken.
DYN? #3
The shot of the Bebes walking towards Ramesh is used in the KP opening theme song. The cells of the Bebes surrounding Ramesh are also used in a shot (but with Kim instead of Ramesh).
RE: Re: This is important
But didn't Kim learn that in Bueno Nacho?
Anyone else feel sorry for Ron?
Ron tried to stop Drakken's scheme by disguising himself as Mr. Dr. Possible. But in the end Kim's dad saved the day, so Ron's actions were unnecessary. He just can't catch a break.

Kimmunicator: A long piercing whistle, the screen displays color bars
In the old days (before cable), the emergency broadcast system always started with this piercing whistle, while the screen displayed colored bars. They also didn't have 24 hour programming, instead you got those colored bars. Ah, the Barbarism! Be glad you live in these civilized times.
Title: Attack of the Killer Bebes
A play on "killer bees", with the "Bebe-bee" connection extending to the former's wireless hive-mind. More Info
Object: One of Ron's masks
Ron shows Kim three of his home-made masks. A Kim mask, the Mad Dog mask, and a mask that resembles Beast from the Disney movie, 'Beauty and the Beast'.
Kim: I'll bring the man of a thousand faces.
Lon Chaney was known as the man of a thousand faces (as he played so many different horror movie monsters).
P.K.: Trapped
The force field rings machine in which Drakken holds Ramesh, Chen and Ron looks very much like a machine used by Rotwang, the evil genius in Fritz Lang's classic 1926 film "Metropolis" Rotwang would have been proud of the Killer Bebes.
